Service Description
Sirena Biological Station Overnight Tour – Corcovado National Park Includes: Park entrance fee, round-trip boat transportation (Drake Bay – Sirena – Drake Bay), bilingual ICT-certified guide with a telescope, overnight accommodation in bunk beds at Sirena Biological Station, three meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast), blankets, and all necessary equipment. Day 1 Departure: 6:00 a.m. | Return (Day 2): Approximately 2:00 p.m. The tour begins at Pura Vida with breakfast at 5:15 a.m. At 6:00 a.m., you depart from the main beach in Drake Bay for a 1 hour and 30 minute boat ride to Sirena Biological Station. Upon arrival, you will walk to the ranger station to leave your luggage and overnight gear before setting off on a guided hike through the surrounding rainforest. During this relaxed 3 to 4-hour walk with a certified bilingual guide, you may spot wildlife such as monkeys, birds, peccaries, coatis, sloths, and, if you're lucky, the tapir. Around 11:00 a.m., you will return to the ranger station for lunch, followed by a 2-hour break during the warmest part of the day. At 2:00 p.m., you will begin another guided hike lasting approximately 3.5 hours to Río Claro, where you will have time to swim before walking back to Sirena Biological Station. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. After dinner, you will spend the night at the station. Lights are turned off at 8:00 p.m. Day 2 The day begins with an early morning guided walk through the rainforest from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Breakfast is served at 7:15 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., you will head back into the forest for a final 3-hour guided hike before returning to the station to collect your belongings and prepare for departure. At 12:30 p.m., you will board the boat back to Drake Bay, arriving at approximately 2:00 p.m.
